The National thematic workshop in Serbia was held on 20 October 2020 in online mode. It was perfectly organised thanks to colleagues from the University of Zagreb who provided all logistical help.
The national thematic workshop in Serbia included four presentations after the short welcome and introduction by Sibila Borojević Šoštarić (UNIZG-RGNF) and Vladimir Simić (UNIBG-RGF). A very interesting presentation on lithium exploration in the Jadar Basin was given by Ivana Misailović (Rio Sava Exploration), who also gave a brief overview of stakeholder engagement during the development of the project. The presentation was given on the recently discovered Sediment-hosted gold deposits of the Timok zone, Eastern Serbia (Jelena Živanović, Avala Resources), with an overview of the genetic type and exploration methods. Colleague Vladimir Simić, UNIBG-RGF, presented the mineral potential and related SWOT analyses of Serbia, which was followed by a discussion and important final conclusions were drawn together with the participants.
